Jim plays the Antoine Courtois Xtreme AC430TL prototype tenor trombone - .500 bore, 8" yellow brass bell, yellow brass outer slide, nickel silver inner slide, rounded slide crook. This horn was made exclusively for Jim at the Courtois factory in Amboise, France, in August, 2006. Check it out at Courtois

The Jazzer's Cookbook published by Hal Leonard, launched Jan. 9, 2014, at the JEN Convention in Dallas. Jim contributed an essay called "So, You Want to Play Jazz Trombone?" He is in good company! Jim played with the Alan Baylock Jazz Orchestra at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage Easter Sunday, 2011. His solo on "Cottontail" is at 45:10. A great band and fantastic music!
